5. Waking up.

You know, one would almost think that the Admiral was trying to take the fun out of being here. Paris was fun then to come back and be dropped into a coma? Come on, Admiral, how rude can you get?

In the mean time, I'm awake and I should find something to do. Perhaps a job, if nothing else I'd be looking for a few good people to spar with. Dick, are you up for that?

Paris was just splendid. I have missed the metrop. There was a spot of...engagement, but we cleared that up in a thrice. Afterwards my cabin seemed to detach itself to the ship for a while, but I settled down with my store of whisky and sandwich fixings and muddled through. Why? Did something happen while I was adrift? [Bertie is eternally clueless.]

[Since he couldn't acquire pizza on short notice, the best Rex could procure was nachos that were quickly heated up in the oven. So, Rex balanced the plate on his hand and knocked on his sister's door.]

[Nachos worked. Ana opened the door with a grin, and she was relieved to see him looking alive and well. After having gone over the network from the things that had happened while she was out, Ana had worried.]
